Report a Streetlight Problem/Outage

Help keep our community safe by reporting streetlight problems.  If you notice a street lighting outage, a light going on and off (cycling), a light on during the day, vandalism, damage or any other problem with street lights please contact the Department of Assessment at 734-942-7520 (please leave a voice message after hours) OR send an email (jalbert@romulusgov.com) to let us know.  Please provide the pole number (found on the metal tag), street name and nearest cross street, or the “in front of address” to help us locate the streetlight(s).  

According to DTE normal repairs are completed within 5 – 7 business days.  Repairing underground cable or replacing poles may take up to 20 days.  Please Note:  During storms, DTE's priority is to restore power to customers; therefore street light outages may take longer to repair.
