Business Spotlight: Wild Willy's Bar and Grill

Wild Willy’s has been a part of the Romulus community since the 60s, but Jonathan purchased the bar and grill about nine years ago, and has made a number of upgrades since. Jonathan is an entrepreneur at heart and comes from a family of small business owners. Growing up, Jonathan often helped his parents at their convenience store, Super Y Market, which has served the Romulus community for more than 40 years.

After graduating from Wayne State University with a degree in business and marketing management, and running the family business for a decade, Jonathan decided it was time to take on his own entrepreneurial endeavor.

“When it came time to purchase my own business, I knew Wild Willy’s was the right call,” Jonathan says. “I’m grateful to now offer a space in the community where residents can enjoy food and drinks in a small-town, friendly environment.”

Since purchasing Wild Willy’s nine years ago, Jonathan has made a number of upgrades to the building’s interior, including remodeling the dining space, upgrading equipment and renovating the bathrooms. Significant upgrades have also been made to the food and drink menu, with Chef Jim creating tasty and homemade plates such as the Reuben, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, Chicago Style Pizza and Surf N Turf.

Jonathan has also worked hard to build a talented team that is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and who, according to Jonathan, are the backbone of the business.

“Wild Willy’s would not be what it is without our hardworking staff and customers,” Jonathan says. “Romulus feels like home because I grew up working in the community and have grown to consider the residents, my team and customers as family.”
